Is there a difference between Roman Catholicism and the Catholic Church?

Catholicism is derived from the Greek words kata, which means "throughout," and holos, which means "all." These terms refer to the church, which is comprised of believers who are dispersed in various locations or all over the world. Nevertheless, this is not the same as Roman Catholicism, which is a religious institution that was established in Rome around the fifth century under the leadership of Pope Leo the Great. Pope Leo began asserting that he was the head of all of Christendom at then. The officials in charge of the other Christian centers that were situated in the eastern region did not acknowledge his claim. It is because Christians believe that there is only one Chief Shepherd, and that Chief Shepherd is Jesus Christ, so they do not accept the authority of the Pope of Rome. In the future, the pastors who are responsible for the care of the local churches will be held accountable to the Lord for the manner in which they tend to the sheep. They are called to be under shepherds. While the officials of the Roman Catholic Church are gradually and persistently moving away from the Word of God, it is encouraging to see that the Lord instructed Martin Luther and other believers to return to the Word of God. So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up.
