Can a member of a Seventh-day Adventist denomination be a born-again Christian?

Many evangelicals do not consider Seventh-day Adventists to be born again Christians since they followed the law in order to be assured of their salvation. The expression "born again" refers to a spiritual rebirth that takes place when a sinner believes in Jesus Christ rather than observing the law or prohibitions such as Sabbath and Jewish dietary staples. The main objective of the law is to make people aware of their sin. However, no human being can be justified (made righteous) by following the law; only through faith in Jesus Christ. A genuine born-again Christian will never put reliance on the law to save him. His faith is in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, leading him to obey His commands out of love for Him.
